Babysitter's Training with Pediatric First Aid, CPR, & AED
This American Red Cross in-person course prepares youth ages 11-16 to safely and confidently care for children and infants. It includes hands-on activities, videos, and discussions to develop essential, real-life readiness babysitting skills. The course covers feeding, diapering, picking up and holding children, safety, and emergency response.
Participants receive a 10-year Babysitter's Training certificate and a 2-year Pediatric First Aid, CPR, & AED certificate upon completion. Participants must attend the entire session to receive the certificates.
This program includes access to an e-book, textbook and handouts the day of class, a pizza lunch, and students will receive access to a Red Cross Child Care App which they (and their parents) may add to a phone or tablet, if desired and allowed. We will have water available and access to filtered water in the station's kitchen for bottle refills.
Parents/guardians may drop off or remain with the students.
