EMS Discovery Program
Bennington Rescue is offering students in grades 8-12 (ages 14-19) an opportunity to:
Learn and apply EMS skills and perform service.
For those age 14+ an ability to perform scheduled ride along time with our EMS professionals on an ambulance.
The program is limited 12 students and will meet one evening a month with an occasional weekend activity such as skills or service projects.
A summer Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) certification course is in the planning stages for students age 16+.

At Bennington Rescue – 120 McKinley St, Bennington, VT
Interested students and their parent/guardian should attend to learn about the program and ask questions.

FAQs:
Q - Can only students who live in Bennington participate?
A - No! This program is open to any grade 8-12 students from Bennington County or neighboring areas we assist such as eastern Rensselaer County, NY.
Q - Are there eligibility requirements?
A - Yes – Student Eligibility to Participate:
The student must be 14-19 years old and enrolled in an area middle or high school (e.g., Mt. Anthony Union, Hoosick Falls Central, Arlington Memorial, Burr & Burton, etc.).
The student must have average grades minimally of a 3.0 or 80% or B- depending on the grading system. Students must submit their last grade report at the time of application and every subsequent grading period.
The student must complete the program application.
The student and their parent(s) or guardian(s) must first meet with the Program Manager to review the program, expectations of the student, and obtain written parent/guardian consent.
To maintain active status the student must attend ≥2/3 of regularly scheduled monthly activities or be excused by the Program Manager.
